I am unsure of which cities the members of Anklebiter are from (they simply rep "Northeast straight edge"). I am sure, however, that all sober-minded individuals (and allies who may or may not abuse substances) should attend this hardcore show Tuesday night at Howdy. The band's new EP -- out now on Sunday Drive Records -- contains a hybrid of heavy two-step mosh parts and melodic dance grooves that few bands are able to match. Primitive Rage is driving up from Springfield for the occasion and Make No Mistake is playing its second show following a debut last week at the Spine release show.
Shuttlecock's other gig this week is a three-headed grindcore beast made up of Chepang (New York), Bandit (Philadelphia), and Decultivate (Prague), plus locals Missouri Executive Order 44. That's this Wednesday night at Howdy.
