Mistake Mondays at The Blind Tiger is the place to be for any rock-n-roller in Kansas City. For our Lawrence readers, I'd call it our Three-Headed Thursday counterpart. Last night surf rockers Kolumbine Kids opened the show with their newly finished lineup and proved that you don't need to be from Cali to hang ten. The Drippies played a solid set of their throwback punk tunes, despite sounding a little tired due to half of the band just playing a set in Kolumbine Kids and also just arriving home from a wild trip to Houston for Badass Weekend. Seattle's Mysterious Skin rounded out the night with a great set of '80's-inspired hardcore. I was kicked out of the venue by a usually-absent door guy because I'm not 21 or in a band playing, so I caught the latter set by watching through the exterior window.
