Live This Week: August 27 - September 2, 2023

RP Boo

This Friday night, Chicago DJ and footwork pioneer RP Boo performs at the Encore at Uptown Theater in Kansas City. Taking the stage before him will be local Shuttlecock favorites Whorxata (who opened our first DJ Lucas show at White Schoolhouse several years ago) and DJ Alphabeta (a member of Young Mvchetes and the man behind Black Chamber DIY in Topeka). Other Shuttlecock gigs this week include a visit from San Diego hardcore band Dispersed (this Tuesday at Howdy) and Austin, Texas dungeon synth purveyor Assorted Potions (Saturday at Farewell).

 

Other acts worth catching this week include Goo Goo Dolls, Corey Taylor, Amygdala, The Chicks, Zach Bryan, Out4Blood, Green Jelly, and Disaster Artist.
