Sure, I might be biased because I helped book some of these shows, but this weekend's lineup on Stadium Drive is looking tight. Thursday night features the metallic post-hardcore of Austin's Glassing at Howdy and Chicago singer-songwriter (and very impressive guitarist) Nico Play at Farewell. Friday's bar gig features Denton noise rock juggernaut Bighand//Bigknife. If you like loud rock music, you will not be disappointed. Saturday at Farewell is a benefit for friend of the bar (and this blog) Vinny, who needs help paying her bills after missing work due to an injury -- C-Krit, Nature Boys, and Genre jam at this one.
Other
acts worth catching this week include Janelle Monáe, Papa Roach, Lily Hiatt, Taj Mahal, Hang Your Hate, and Arc Flash.
