Zarin Micheal - "Bron & Melo" (ft. Southside Dame)

Zarin Micheal (front) and Southside Dame (back). Video directed by Davin Jeremiah (DaGalleria).
I love when two rappers trade bars on a hook. Though their personal styles are quite different from this pair, the bouncy flows that Zarin Micheal and Southside Dame use on "Bron & Melo" remind me of the feeling I'd get from throwback Rich The Kid and Famous Dex collabs (Rich Forever 3 era and the loosies that preceded it, to be specific) -- carefree flexing. And while I know very little about pro basketball, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony seem to be apt comparisons for Z and Dame's respective styles -- Z (LeBron): muscular, hungry, dominant; Dame (Melo): often (in past years at least) overlooked, versatile.

I also appreciate that this beat comes from frequent Zarin collaborator Corey Plescia but contains the same brisk energy that made Pretty Girls Listen To Dame such a hit. Are these two planning to do a project together? Maybe someone told me they are and I forgot. If that's not the case, they should. Davin Jeremiah's music video for the song, shot at Grandview Senior High School features the duo wearing letter jackets and rapping in the locker room and next to cars in the parking lot; it ties the whole package together quite nicely.
