Balance & Composure opened Tuesday night's show at Uptown Theater by showcasing a new, more mature sound that fans got a taste of on last year's record "Light We Made." The second set of the evening came from Chon. Their music is mainly instrumental-based, but a select few songs included vocals. The band's upbeat, peppy tone was fused with elements of hip-hop and electronic music, bringing a fresh atmosphere into the show. Circa Survive thrashed on stage with an energetic, bouncy performance by frontman Anthony Green. Their eclectic ensemble provided emo, soft rock, and even hardcore influences that the audience eagerly absorbed. Green's extraordinary stage presence was a sight to see. California-based rock band Thrice ended the night on an intense, punk and post-hardcore sound. Crowd-surfers made their way to the stage as lead vocalist Dustin Kensrue belted out each song and filled the theater with electricity.
