Premiere: OK O'Clock - "Lights" Music Video
It is unlikely that any emo band has ever been as proud to rep Grandview, Missouri as OK O'Clock is. Once just the solo project of singer-songwriter Lance Rutledge, the band is preparing to release a new album titled "Parental Guidance." The first music to emerge from it is "Lights," a modest slice of sleepy Midwestern emo. The video was endearingly shot on a constantly auto-focusing Android phone in an unfinished basement. The music doesn't quite sync up with the video at most times, either, yet handily accomplishes its goal of giving you a warm, tender moment with the band in what is presumably, one of their quiet, suburban abodes.
"Parental Guidance" is out on January 20. Watch the video for "Lights" below.
