Whomever Brooklynn is singing this song to better get their shit in order. "Back 2 Basics" is the Kansas City vocalist's lively new single about a relationship recalibration, complete with an R&B diva lite delivery and a hip-hop bounce. The instrumental comes courtesy of German producer The Crvv -- perhaps marketed as an Ariana Grande type beat -- and the writing courtesy of Broderick Jones, who shows up in the pink-hued, Ryan Njenga-directed music video.
