There's a lot going on in the Kansas City metro this week. Critically acclaimed experimental music veterans Xiu Xiu make their grand return (Saturday at The Bottleneck), as does singer-songwriter Damien Jurado (Saturday at recordBar; sold out already). In hardcore news, Boise rippers Ingrown make a last-minute stop at Howdy on Wednesday night as an off-date from their tour with Obituary, Immolation, and Blood Incantation. Spine will be using its support set to film a music video for their upcoming record. We're also co-hosting a gig there with Sledge (OKC) and 10 To The Chest (Colorado) the evening before. Also returning for their third Shuttlecock gig this Saturday, Chicago post-punk/indie rockers Dendrons (sophomore LP out now via Innovative Leisure).
Other
acts worth catching this week include Thundercat, Black Flag, HIRS, Motley Crue, Fall Out Boy, New Obsessions, IV & The Strange Band, and A'Sean.
