This week, Los Angeles powerviolence band Zulu makes its first visit to the metro, headlining a gig at The Bottleneck on Thursday with support from Springfield, Missouri's Primitive Rage (and maybe a couple local friends to be announced). On Monday, Shuttlecock presents the speedy return of Illinois skramz powerhouse Frail Body for a gig at Howdy with MEO44 (fresh off an LP release) and Desire Path (fresh off a demo release). Wednesday's gig at Farewell features acclaimed Los Angeles singer-songwriter Rosie Tucker and local rising star Dalima Kapten. This Saturday, Shuttlecock presents a mini, all ages emo fest called Like Trucks & Trains at Howdy featuring Gollylagging (MA), Please Advise (TX), two Oklahoma bands, Abandoncy, and others. Come close out summer in a big, sad way!
