Live This Week: January 1 - 7, 2023

Brenden Shy of Dunes Day
In case you haven't listened to the podcast episode we did, Dunes Day is the brainchild of Parkville, Missouri's Brenden Shy. The band has zig-zagged from indie rock to melodic punk to alternative hip-hop to somewhere in between the three. Their new album, Thread The Needle, is out this Saturday and we're celebrating with a release show at Farewell. The gig will also serve as a fundraiser for the family of Shayla Curts, Shy's sister who passed last month. Supporting Dunes Day will be Colorado-via-Kansas experimental musician Luke Petet and Lawrence DJ/producer Pirli (a member of the crew American Terrorist). Your attendance would mean a lot. If you can't make it to the show, there's a GoFundMe for the Curts family here.

Other acts worth catching this week include Nightosphere, Magic, Ricky Roosevelt, and Atticus vonHolten,
