Live This Week: August 4 - 10, 2024

I saw Blink-182 a few years back while Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio was filling in for Tom DeLonge. As a big fan of Alkaline Trio, the novelty of seeing Skiba sing Blink songs (after getting to see Lil Wayne perform half an hour earlier) was enough to entertain me, but hearing Skiba sing "Aliens Exist" felt plain wrong considering DeLonge's obsession with the subject matter. Blink's classic lineup is back together and returning to Kansas City on Friday, for those with a soft spot for pop-punk.

Other acts worth catching this week include Doom Beach, Poison Tribe, 3000 Centipedes, SUNFO, Mike Bagetta, Wheatus, Allergen, and Concubine.
