Nineties alt-metal fans were very stoked about getting to witness the heavy riffs of Deftones last night at Uptown Theater. Openers Code Orange delivered one of the most terrifying sets of any band to hit Kansas City this year. Their stop-start chugging, tormented screams, and shrill electronic interludes incited fist pumping and a mosh pit that would frighten any mother.
