Genre nerds can dissect Dillon, Dan, and Brad's playing (could it be punk? Post-punk? Deathrock?), but what is perhaps most palpable in this clip of Kansas City rockers Sister Slate is vocalist Kenia Balquier's dire urgency. Attendees at this early evening park gig dance in and out of the shadows as Balquier and the band perform in lockstep -- impressive for a second show. To survive, or to live?
