| Ryan Leach of Altered Beast |
Metallic hardcore act Altered Beast released their first slab of
vinyl on Saturday night at Replay Lounge. Vocalist Ryan Leach began the set by announcing it was his first record release he'd ever been a part of and let the crowd know he had "no comment" on the previous day's inauguration. Altered Beast was joined by Lawrence's Young Bull. The band stomped and soloed through their always-impressive set as many rowdy attendees took part in (what looked like) their first mosh pit. The show was opened by long-running math-tinged hardcore act Canyons, who have taken a lengthy break from performing live to write new music.
