Watch: Flora - "Violets Are Blue" at Howdy

Assisted by her father Dan on guitar and her uncle Sam on drums, Flora Billen opened last night's gig at Howdy. The Lawrence musician turned 16 just last week but possesses the composure of a performer beyond her years. "Violets Are Blue," a steady but melancholy pop tune about sudden heartbreak, was featured on Flora's 2022 album, Emerald City, and is a standout in her small but growing catalog.
