Durand Jones |
Indiana soul group Durand Jones & The Indications made their Kansas debut on Friday night at the Replay Lounge. Soul aficionados, record store clerks, and casual St. Patrick's Day partiers all had the privilege of witnessing one of the best in the Midwest. The group played tracks from their LP, singles new and old, and two covers as front row fans danced their asses off. Omaha group AZP preceded The Indications and blended together a grab bag of genres into a highly interactive and easily digestible performance ready for any college-aged crowd. Vivid Zebra's Raymond opened the show. Backed by producer Alccalh, Raymond punched away at sampled drum beats and let his falsetto soar like the DIY Justin Timberlake he is.
