At 66 years old, Lee Fields still manages to put on some of the most enthralling soul performances that fans of the genre can witness. Fields and his band The Expressions demonstrated their prowess during a powerful show on Friday night at the recordBar. The North Carolina native donned a dazzling blue suit as he shuffled across the stage wailing his heart out for over an hour and his band never missed a beat. Hi-Lux, a new Kansas City soul act featuring members of The Good Foot, put on a strong opening set.
