Despite drawing a meager crowd of about 20, Massachusetts hardcore band Maniac blasted through a punishing set full of crunching guitar riffs on Monday night at the Middle East house. Patrons also checked out sets from locals Misdemeanor and Shuriken 187 after getting a chance to hop in the pool.
