Alright, headbangers: you've got a couple excellent options this Friday night. For those in or willing to travel to Lawrence, Kansas, the always-vulgar Antarctic thrash metal institution GWAR returns to The Granada. Soulfly, King Parrot, and Hossferatu open that one up.
And in Kansas City in a much smaller room (Howdy), Southern California blackened / grinding / death metal-style hardcore band Scalp makes its first ever stop in the area. They will be joined by beloved Delaware killers Year Of The Knife. The show is opened with a chance Ontario band crossing-of-paths featuring Mile End and Ethereal Tomb.
